Bucherest, Romania - October 2005

The busy capital of Romania, a place to be scammed. If you ever come here, never take a taxi. I've heard from everyone who has ever taken a taxi here being scammed. One poor soul was even dropped off somewhere far out of central with the taxi driver demanding a sum to take her back in! Even a Romanian not living in Bucherest was scammed. The subway is also a horrible way to travel as David and I couldn't find a map and the stations are poorly labeled. Hopefully you can find someone who speaks English to aid you.

Besides all that, there really isn't anything to see except for the monsterous palace which is now used as the parliament building.

Watch out for open man hole covers. I almost fell in one while walking down the street.
