Pamplona, Spain - July 2005

San Fermine - The running of the bulls is finally upon us. This was one of the craziest parties I've been to and some place I would like to come back to while I'm still young to taunt the bulls again. The opening ceremony was amazing with everyone popping champagne at 3 bottles for 7€ and everyone squirting you with sangria, mustard and throwing foam and flour. It did get pretty dangerous when there were just too many people to move. At one point you could actually lift your feet and still stay up with people pushing on all sides. Plus there were broken bottles every where which gave some people some pretty bad cuts. I was lucky to only have a small cut on my foot eventhough I just wore sandals. Others were not as lucky.

The bull run itself was a blast. Your heart just beats like crazy during the run but when you really think about it, it's not too bad. My main concern however were not really the bulls but all the other people either getting in your way or pushing you or tripping over them. The end of the run leads into a bull arena where the people who make it into the stadium go head to head with the bulls. Unfortunately I missed out on it. But Curtis got an order of horns to the ribs.

Comments:
For some reason it got so cold when we went camping. Who would have thought after being in 43 degree weather in Madrid it would be too cold?
